UN COP 28: report from Dubai

On February 10 at 4PM, an international panel of College of the Atlantic students, who attended the United Nations climate conference in Dubai, will share their experiences of the event and explore its accomplishments and short-comings.

The most significant agreement of the 200+ nations that gathered was the commitment of "transitioning away from all fossil fuels in energy systems, in a just, orderly and equitable manner in keeping with the science."

Just how effective this agreement is in keeping CO2 emissions in bounds with future temperature targets will be discussed.

The panel will convene at the Reversing Falls Sanctuary at 818 Bagaduce Road., Brooksville.
